Yorkshire Tea Tree Campaign

TreeApproximately between 3 billion and 6 billion trees are cut down per year.

Yorkshire Tea has decided they want to make a difference and would like to be a “tree friendly” brand.  This involves a campaign that will see them plant one million trees in the UK and Kenya.

They have forged a partnership with children’s book The Gruffalo and as part of the campaign they have just launched a fun and educational mini-game app, ‘The Gruffalo and the Vanishing Wood’. It’s designed for children aged three to seven to teach them about the value of trees.

The free app asks players to help save the deep dark wood by taking a stroll with the Gruffalo and Mouse to plant trees before they all vanish.

“We think that this will really help us engage the next generation in the importance of trees and in doing so , demonstrate to their parents that Yorkshire Tea is the proper brew that makes a proper difference,” said the marketing manager at Yorkshire Tea.

This is just one tool they are using to help support their five year pledge to plant one million trees.
